I think the the SSA training program, through SSI and ANDI is the most comprehesive you could possibly find. When I decided to get into scuba I checked the sporting goods stores and the local independant stores and I just found SSA to be more professional and very, very family oreintated. I really felt as if I belonged to a cool club that had an unsurpassed reputaion in the diving community. If you value your comfort and more importantly your safety underwater, I would recommend no other divie store in Southern California, and for that matter, the United States. These guys spend more time with you in the pool , class, and the ocean than anyone else....period. I didn't just want to get a card, I wanted to learn the right way. I found the other PADI/NAUI and everyone else just wanted to get me in and out of their programs....the SSA guys really, really cared.....THANKS SSA for your time and your training.....I truyly feel safe underwater Josh Gernes Submitted By: Josh Gernes

I wanted to take a few minutes and profess how appreciative I am for all you have taught me in my quest to become certified as a" SSI Open water Diver". If you recall, I sort of sputtered at the beginning of my training. When I did finally sit down and get started, I was litterally shocked at the depth and level of detail you provided in the classroom. In our first pool session, I was very impressed on how focused you became, while teaching us. That will stay with me forever in my diving. As soon as I am ready to dive, I'm "On". The Classroom sessions were fun, and the Catalina Island Ocean Dives were very fun and enjoyable. I never thought that I would meet so manty friendly, charged people. Again, excellent job of teachning me to become an excellent scuba diver. I also have to say a word about your Instructor-in Training, Ms. Niki Gilman. Rusty, The trip was glorious....out of this world!! Thank you for your excellent planning! Each step seemed better than the last. Beautiful accomodations....better than I ever expected in Africa. The Ngorogoro Cater was the apex of the safari......awesome to behold.....impossible to describe! Needless to say it was a trip to remember and I thank you for giving me such a great adventure and a headful of memories. Your mom was a great roomy and a real help to everyone!
